The “Passport” to the Global Oil & Gas Industry! Moon Environment Technology Co., Ltd. Secures API Spec Q1 Certification
Date:2026.06.30 Size

Recently, Moon Environment Technology Co., Ltd. successfully passed the full-process rigorous audit conducted by the American Petroleum Institute (API) and officially obtained the API Spec Q1 Quality Management System Certification. This milestone signifies that the company’s end-to-end quality management capability in the R&D and manufacturing of equipment for the energy and petrochemical, oil, and gas sectors has fully reached the highest international industry entry standard, marking a key “international passport” for entering the global oil, gas, and offshore energy markets.

API Spec Q1 (hereinafter referred to as API Q1) is the most authoritative quality management system standard dedicated to the global oil and gas industry. Its requirements are significantly more stringent than the general ISO 9001 system. It serves as a mandatory entry threshold for international oilfield service giants and large-scale oil and gas project tenders worldwide, and is a prerequisite qualification for enterprises applying for API product monogram authorization and entering the global mainstream oil and gas supply chain.

The standard imposes strict mandatory requirements covering full lifecycle risk management of products, validation of special processes, raw material traceability, supply chain control, and long-term retention of quality records. The audit scope extends across the entire value chain, including R&D and design, procurement and supply chain, machining, welding and heat treatment, assembly and inspection, and after-sales service. The certification process is highly demanding with a low pass rate.

As an equipment enterprise with seventy years of expertise in wide-temperature-range energy thermal management, Moon-Tech has long been engaged in strategic development in oil and gas, natural gas, offshore engineering, and LNG clean energy sectors. Its portfolio includes process compressor packages, oil and gas process cooling systems, special heat exchange equipment, high-pressure pressure vessels, and marine oil and gas thermal control equipment. These products are widely applied in onshore oil and gas extraction, refining, long-distance pipelines, offshore platforms, and LNG liquefaction and storage facilities, enabling integrated delivery capabilities from core equipment to complete system solutions, with exports covering major global markets.

To align with its overseas high-end energy equipment market expansion strategy, the company established a dedicated API Q1 system implementation task force in early 2025. In accordance with more than one hundred API Q1 industry-specific requirements, the company comprehensively built a dedicated quality control framework for oil and gas equipment, including the improvement of design change control mechanisms, the establishment of periodic process validation systems for critical welding, non-destructive testing, and heat treatment processes, the construction of material traceability archives, and the implementation of tiered supplier performance management for outsourced processes. Multiple rounds of internal audits, management reviews, and continuous system optimization were completed to ensure stable and effective system operation.

During the audit, the API expert team conducted multi-dimensional evaluations, including in-depth document review, on-site production inspection, practical assessment of key processes, sampling verification of quality records, and supply chain traceability review. The team highly recognized Moon Environment’s digital intelligent manufacturing lines, end-to-end traceable quality management system, reliability control system for oil and gas specialty equipment, and its comprehensive R&D validation platform. It was determined that the company’s quality management system fully complies with all requirements of the latest API Q1 specification, and the certification was successfully granted.

The API Q1 certification represents a critical milestone in Moon Environment’s globalization, high-end development, and green energy strategy, and marks a significant step forward in its expansion into the global high-end oil and gas energy market. With this qualification, the company is now eligible to participate in tenders led by the world’s leading oil companies and will comprehensively expand into markets including onshore and offshore oil and gas, offshore platforms, LNG, gas storage and peak-shaving, and integrated refining projects both domestically and internationally.

This certification is not only an authoritative recognition of Moon Environment’s oil and gas equipment manufacturing capabilities, but also lays a solid qualification foundation for deeper participation in overseas LNG, offshore oil and gas, and refining integration projects. Moon Environment will continue to refine its products in accordance with international standards, actively engage in high-quality cooperation across the global energy industrial chain, contribute to the green and low-carbon transformation of the global oil and gas industry, and provide reliable domestically developed equipment solutions for the global energy transition.
