Recently, the “Moon-Tech Scholarship” award ceremony of the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University was solemnly held at the Innovation Harbor Campus. The event aimed to recognize outstanding students with both academic excellence and strong character, deepen strategic university–industry cooperation, and precisely cultivate high-caliber innovative talents for the fields of energy, power, and compressor engineering, thereby supporting the high-quality development of the industry.

Attending the ceremony were Wei Na, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Energy and Power Engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University; Professor He Zhilong, Head of the Compressor Engineering Department; faculty member Wang Leilei; counselor Zhang Xiaofang; and representatives of the award-winning students. Invited guests from Moon-Tech included Chen Wenqing, Chief Technology Officer and President of the Central Research Institute, and Yang Guowei, Director of the Human Resources Department.

In his speech, Chen Wenqing, Chief Technology Officer and President of the Central Research Institute of Moon-Tech, first extended warm congratulations to the award-winning students and expressed sincere appreciation to the School of Energy and Power Engineering of Xi’an Jiaotong University for its long-term support of university–industry cooperation. He introduced Moon-Tech’s commitment to innovation-driven development in the energy and power sector and highlighted the company’s continuous efforts and a series of breakthrough achievements in low-carbon energy technologies in recent years. He emphasized that university–industry collaboration serves as a vital bridge linking education with industrial needs. It enables the precise alignment of talent cultivation with enterprise development, brings together innovative forces to tackle key industry challenges, and represents an inevitable path toward industrial upgrading and serving national strategies. Moon-Tech attaches great importance to research collaboration and talent exchange with universities, and hopes that the “Moon-Tech Scholarship” will inspire more students from Xi’an Jiaotong University to dedicate themselves to the energy and power field, strive for technological excellence, and ultimately contribute to China’s equipment manufacturing industry, working hand in hand with enterprises to shape a new blueprint for industry development.

On behalf of the School, Deputy Party Secretary Wei Na delivered a welcome address, warmly welcoming the guests from Moon-Tech and expressing heartfelt gratitude for the company’s initiative in establishing the scholarship, supporting educational development, and contributing to talent cultivation. She noted that the School has always been committed to nurturing industry-leading talents with a strong sense of national responsibility and innovative capability. Support from enterprises is an indispensable force in the talent development process. She expressed the hope that both sides would take this cooperation as an opportunity to further deepen exchanges and achieve mutually beneficial development.

Subsequently, Professor He Zhilong, Head of the Compressor Engineering Department, announced the list of recipients of this year’s “Moon-Tech Scholarship.” Distinguished guests presented certificates of honor to the award-winning students and took group photos. This honor not only represents high recognition of the students’ academic performance and research achievements, but also reflects the high expectations jointly placed on the younger generation by both the university and the enterprise. In their remarks, the student representatives sincerely expressed gratitude for the support from both sides, noting that the scholarship serves not only as financial assistance but also as strong spiritual encouragement. They stated their commitment to carrying forward the “Westward Relocation Spirit,” strengthening their academic foundations, broadening their horizons, focusing on national needs in their research, striving to break through key industry technologies, and promoting the integration of industry, academia, and research, thereby repaying the trust and support of both the university and the enterprise with concrete achievements.
