MOON-TECH Wins the First Prize of the 2025 Science and Technology Progress Award by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration
Date:2025.12.12 Size

The 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration was successfully held in Changsha, Hunan Province from December 9 to 12, 2025. With the theme “Innovation for Quality, Green for Efficiency,” the conference gathered more than 1,200 industry experts, academic leaders, and enterprise representatives to discuss key topics within the field.

CEO Zhao Baoguo, of Moon-TECH, was invited to attend the conference.

MOON-TECH’s project “Key Components and System Integration Technology
for Multi-Category, Large-Temperature-Lift Industrial Heat Pumps”
won the First Prize of the Science and Technology Progress Award
by the Chinese Association of Refrigeration.

Industrial heat pumps serve as essential equipment in the heating systems of industries such as steel, petroleum, chemicals, power, pharmaceuticals, and dairy processing, providing crucial support for their safe and efficient operation. Under the pressing energy landscape and the national “dual-carbon” goals, conventional industrial heat pumps can no longer meet the increasing demands for broader operating temperature ranges, higher efficiency, and larger output capacities.

Through continuous independent innovation and close industry–academia cooperation, MOON-TECH developed large-capacity, wide-temperature-range multistage centrifugal heat pump compressors; achieved breakthroughs in wide-condition, large-temperature-lift screw heat pump compressors and steam compressors; and mastered system integration and intelligent control technologies. These advancements enabled the creation of high-parameter, wide-temperature-range, high-performance industrial heat pumps applicable to diversified scenarios, capable of recovering waste heat as low as 25°C, producing high-quality hot water at 80–140°C, and generating steam at 1.0–3.6 barA.

The project outcomes have been widely applied in industrial waste heat recovery within steel, petroleum, and chemical sectors; steam and hot-water supply for industrial parks; and heat-pump-based distillation systems in refining plants. These achievements have significantly propelled technological progress and industrial development in China’s industrial heat pump sector, providing strong support for the localization of major national equipment.
