MOON-TECH presented at COP28 at the United Nations in Dubai
Date:2023.12.01 Size

On November 30, the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP28) took place as scheduled in Dubai Expo City, UAE. Invited by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to participate in the COP28 event "Green Transformation of the Private Sector - Sustainable Cold Chain and Space Refrigeration" and deliver a keynote speech, Moon-tech had an in-depth exchange of views with the guests on the important issues related to the reduction of fossil fuels, the increase in the use of renewable energy and the concern for climate change.

COP28 is an important meeting of the United Nations climate change negotiations, and more than 140 heads of state and senior government officials are expected to attend the two-week conference. In line with the Paris Agreement, COP28 will also be the first review of progress on climate action since the agreement was signed, and will set out a course of action for emissions reductions, including reducing the production of fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal, increasing the capacity of renewable energy production, and increasing investment in climate change-related activities. The conference will also present the latest results and directions in mitigating and combating climate change.

Teng Lin said in the conference: "The business of Moon-tech covers the whole temperature range of hot and cold application occasions with green refrigerant as the main focus, and reduces the damage of HCFC/HFC to the atmospheric environment through the use of green refrigerant. In the future, Moon-tech will continue to focus on the comprehensive use of energy, focusing on hot and cold water, gas, electricity, waste and other forms of energy, by strengthening the comprehensive use of industrial waste heat, waste pressure and other energy, to build an interconnected, optimized and complementary intelligent and efficient use of energy system.

Since China put forward the "dual-carbon" target in September 2020, positive progress has been made in the green and low-carbon transformation of various economic and social sectors, but the global climate and the energy transformation process of various countries are still not optimistic.

Before COP28, China's Ministry of Ecology and Environment, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission and 10 other ministries and commissions, issued China's first Action Program for Methane Emission Control. This is the top-level planning document and the first comprehensive and specific policy document on methane emission control in China.

In practice, Moon-tech can control air temperature and humidity through the product, improve the combustion efficiency of natural gas and other energy gases with methane as the main component, increase power generation and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. For the carbon dioxide produced, carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) has become a consensus treatment. As the core energy equipment, Moon-tech screw compressors have been successfully applied to capture and recover carbon dioxide produced from oilfield associated gas, ammonia, biogas purification, natural gas treatment, flue gas, dry ice, etc. The project has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 1,000 tons. This project has reduced CO2 emissions by 10 million tons. Moon-tech also continues to strengthen the development and use of clean energy such as hydrogen, solar and nuclear power. In this year's central-heating period, China's first inter-city nuclear energy long-distance heating project "Warm Nuclear One" is underway in Shandong, which can simultaneously heat nearly 400,000 households in the cities of Yantai Haiyang and Weihai Rushan, with a heating area of 12.5 million square meters, and the core equipment of the project, the large temperature difference lithium bromide absorption heat exchanger, is from Hellun Environment's subsidiary HYTM. The core equipment used in the project is a lithium bromide absorption heat exchanger unit from Moon-tech subsidiary HYTM.

As an intelligent green energy system solution service provider, Moon-tech is committed to building a simple, moderate, green and low-carbon social operation mode, strengthening the ecological link between the production system and the living system through comprehensive resource saving and recycling.
