Recently, the 2nd Yantai Mayor’s Cup Industrial Design Competition themed "Designing Industry, Manufacturing the Future," hosted by the People’s Government of Yantai and supported by the China Industrial Design Association, was held under the auspices of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and the Sino-German Industrial Design Center. After preliminary assessment, final evaluation, and public display, the winners were announced. Yantai MOON Intelligent Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. won the gold medal for its “3DP+ Digitalization + Intelligent Full Process Intelligent Foundry System Platform.”

The award-winning project utilizes a model of “3D printing and robotics + green intelligent foundry,” integrating five major information systems (ERP, MES, VCS, LIMS, and Intelligent Units) to achieve a highly coordinated operation of multiple units including molding, melting, and finishing. This integration has upgraded traditional workshops’ information systems, enhancing shop floor management with visualization (establishing enterprise operational command centers and factory dashboards), and elevating the informational level of workshops. The application of information technology, network technology, and intelligent technology across all facets of production and management has significantly enhanced the company's overall competitiveness and established it as a digital demonstration factory in the casting industry.

This gold medal highlights MOON Intelligent Machinery Technology’s strengths in technology and R&D. Looking ahead, the company will continue to enhance its key product research, design, and technological innovation capabilities to boost the development level of the industrial design industry, increase product value-added, enhance product leadership, strengthen core competitiveness, and contribute to Yantai's efforts in transitioning from old to new energies and promoting manufacturing transformation and upgrading.
